Ok, so here's the deal...I work full time as a 911 dispatcher. I work a rotation of 6 on, then 3 days off. I also go to school full time. I live with my mom, and really the only bill I have to pay is my phone bill. this is very, very tiring. There are weeks where I work 40+ hours.
There is a slim chance I can get a part time job at my school's gallery. That got me thinking...it would be awesome if I could work 911 part time with it. But, there is a bigger chance I won't get the job.
So my question is, should I go ahead and ask my boss to go part time to lighten my load and have more time for school and MAYBE get the gallery job...ORRRR should I suck it up and keep full time?

i play it like every single day :( but mainly because i'm devoted to getting all my neopoints back after someone hacked my account and stole all 500,000 of them. and i'm back up to 290,000 rn!

My current screenname is lust jacket which I thought was a cute play on words - like dust jacket..? - but no one else gets it and my mom thinks I'm portraying myself as a slut, so it's time for a change.

so i was on the qvc.com message board a couple days ago (lol there's not much else to do when it isn't busy at work) and there was a post like "if you were voting for hillary clinton, who are you voting for now that we know she won't be the vp?"
SO MANY PEOPLE said their vote will be going to mccain now, which makes no sense to me because clinton and obama basically had the same priorities so idg how your views completely change like that just because your selected candidate didn't get in.
how widespread do you think that is? i really hope mccain doesn't get in but it looks like a lot of clinton's supporters are going to him.

Anyone get really annoyed by some of the people in their classes and don't think they should really be in college?
I have Sociology on Mondays and Wednesdays. We were talking about Culture. We got into why Americans hate immigrants. This one girl goes, WELL, IF THEY ARE SO SMART TO BE A DOCTOR, WHY CAN'T THEY LEARN ENGLISH?
I was very ashamed to say she went to my High School.
And then as we were leaving, she was bitching to her friend on how Sociology is all opinion and our teacher can't grade it, so it shouldn't even be a class.
...just because you don't like it, honey, doesn't mean it's an opinion.

Today I was going to get my student ID card at my College and as I was about to open the door, a blind girl about a few years older than me, who was like three feet away from me and scared the shit out of me that she knew I was there lol, asked me if I could help her onto the bus. The bus started to leave as soon as we walked towards it, so I helped her to the bench instead.
She just held onto my arm..and I don't know, it made me feel really warm and tingly inside and I felt so happy to help her. She also got on the next bus with me and we sat and talked the entire way downtown..I then helped her get on her next bus..
